HOW TO GET THERE: From Fort Lauderdale: Private charter service is the most convenient way to travel to Central Andros. Flights cost between $650 and $850 each way, depending on occupancy. It is certainly worth the money, as passengers can enjoy the flight over the crystal-clear, sapphire waters of The Bahamas. Continental Airlines offers dependable, direct flights to Andros Town four days a week. From Nassau, The Bahamas: Western Air is a consistent and reliable airline with two flights daily to Andros Town. Flights cost $110 per person, round trip. The most memorable way to fly directly to Whispering Palms is to charter a seaplane from Safari Seaplanes in Nassau. Flying over the Tongue of the Ocean and the Andros Barrier Reef, passengers can observe sharks and stingrays in the sparkling waters of the warm Caribbean Sea.
